Date: 29 November 2015
As part of its commitment to supporting vulnerable and differently-abled children, Help Foundation organised a community outreach and welfare programme at the Divyang Ashram (Nishakt Balak Chhatrawas), Waidhan, Singrauli on 29th November 2015. The initiative aimed to bring comfort, encouragement, and essential support to children residing at the residential care facility while promoting the values of compassion, dignity, and social inclusion.
The programme began with an interactive session where volunteers and team members engaged with the children through conversations, motivational discussions, and recreational activities. The session encouraged confidence, self-esteem, and active participation, creating a joyful and welcoming environment for the children.
As part of the welfare initiative, warm clothing and essential garments were distributed to the children to help meet their daily needs, particularly during the winter season. Every child received clothing kits with the objective of ensuring better comfort, protection from the cold, and improved well-being.
In addition to the distribution drive, Help Foundation organised a community meal, where volunteers personally served nutritious food to the children and spent time interacting with them. Sharing a meal together fostered a sense of belonging, care, and emotional support, reinforcing the Foundation’s belief that every child deserves love, respect, and equal opportunities.
The event also served as a platform to raise awareness about the importance of supporting differently-abled children through education, healthcare, nutrition, and community participation. The Foundation encouraged local citizens and organisations to contribute towards creating a more inclusive society where children with disabilities can thrive with dignity and confidence.
This initiative reflected Help Foundation’s continued dedication to child welfare, inclusive development, and humanitarian service. By extending care beyond material assistance and building meaningful human connections, the programme strengthened the Foundation’s mission of empowering vulnerable communities through compassion and collective action.
