SHG Formation & Community Mobilisation under DAY-NULM – Singrauli

Help Foundation supported the formation and mobilisation of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in urban communities under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Urban Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NULM) in collaboration with the Municipal Corporation, Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh.

The initiative focused on bringing women from urban communities together into organised SHGs and creating a platform for collective participation, awareness, capacity building and livelihood development. Community-level interactions and meetings were conducted with women to understand their needs, encourage group formation and strengthen their participation in local development initiatives.

The programme also encouraged women to work collectively, access available government livelihood and social-development opportunities, and build greater confidence in participating in community and economic activities.
