Swasth Sivir at Waidhan along with Yuva Team

Activity at Waidhan, District Singrauli

Programme Overview

Date: 28 January 2016

As part of its commitment to promoting accessible healthcare and social inclusion, Help Foundation, in collaboration with Yuva Team, organised a Swasth Shivir (Health Camp) at Waidhan, District Singrauli, on 28th January 2016. The camp aimed to provide essential healthcare services, medical guidance, and assistive support to underprivileged individuals, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities while creating awareness about preventive healthcare and community well-being.

The health camp brought together medical professionals, volunteers, social workers, and community leaders to offer free health consultations, basic medical examinations, and health counselling to residents. Special attention was given to economically weaker sections and differently-abled individuals, ensuring they received appropriate medical advice and access to available welfare services.

One of the major highlights of the programme was the distribution of assistive mobility devices, including specially designed tricycles and wheelchairs, to persons with disabilities. These mobility aids were provided to enhance independence, improve accessibility, and enable beneficiaries to participate more actively in education, employment, and daily life.

Help Foundation and Yuva Team volunteers actively managed beneficiary registration, guided visitors through the camp, coordinated with healthcare professionals, and assisted in the smooth distribution of mobility aids. Volunteers also interacted with beneficiaries and their families to raise awareness about disability rights, rehabilitation support, and the importance of inclusive community participation.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local citizens, government officials, healthcare professionals, and community organisations, reflecting a shared commitment towards improving public health and empowering vulnerable sections of society. Through collaborative efforts, the camp successfully connected healthcare services with those who needed them most.

By organising this Swasth Shivir, Help Foundation reaffirmed its dedication to promoting healthcare accessibility, disability inclusion, and community empowerment. The initiative strengthened the Foundation’s mission of serving society through compassionate action, collaborative partnerships, and sustainable community development.
