Help Foundation conducted a visit to an old age home in Katai on 19 June 2016 as part of an assessment of the living conditions and welfare needs of senior citizens.
The visit involved direct interaction with elderly residents to understand their day-to-day living conditions, concerns and support requirements. The team engaged with residents in a community setting and observed the facilities and arrangements available at the old age home.
The activity aimed to promote greater attention towards the dignity, care, social well-being and welfare of senior citizens, while helping identify areas where additional community or institutional support could be beneficial.
